About us
Duyarim is a personal sound amplification app built so you can hear your own surroundings better. This page covers who builds it, the principles behind our decisions, and the seller's details.
How it started
Duyarim came out of having to ask twice at a crowded table. Shortening the path between a phone's microphone and a pair of headphones was technically possible; what was missing was a plain app that did it with a single tap — no setup, no pairing, no account.
We build it as a small team. The live audio processing, the recording layer and the interface were all written in house; no third-party data collection layer was added.
The product
Duyarim takes the sound around you from your device's microphone and plays it into your headphones, amplified. The app has three screens:
- Live listening: starts with a single tap, adjustable between 1.0× and 12.0× to your own ear.
- Recordings: the session you listen to records itself; rename, trim, replay or delete it.
- Settings: recording preference, automatic retention limit, audio route profiles and safety limits that cannot be switched off.
- Browser version: the same app runs at app.duyarim.com, with nothing to download or install.
The iOS, Android and browser versions are built from a single codebase; behaviour is the same on all three.
This product is not a medical hearing aid and is not intended for diagnosis or treatment.
Our principles
Four rules decide what goes into the product:
- Audio stays on the device. Duyarim has no server that processes audio; recordings sit only on your device.
- No account. Using the app requires no sign-up, no sign-in and no email address.
- Safety is never paid. Stopping is always one tap, the limiter cannot be disabled, and paying does not raise the gain ceiling.
- No ads, no tracking in the app. We use no advertising identifier, no cookies and no behavioural analytics.
